Diego Gamaliel
Based in Mexico City, DGS is an independent jewelry project by Diego Gamaliel, centered on carefully crafted pieces designed for everyday wear.
Through jewelry, drawings, photography, prints and books, Diego explores the relationship between the body, identity and the world around us. His practice looks beyond the decorative, approaching jewelry as a form of artistic expression shaped by the environment we inhabit.

The City as Material
Urban details
Many DGS pieces begin with walks through Mexico City. Cracks in the pavement, fragments of barbed wire and architectural details become unexpected starting points for new forms.
FORM & TRANSFORMATION
Diego looks beyond the obvious, finding visual possibilities in the structures and textures around him. Through his practice, ordinary urban details are reinterpreted as sculptural jewelry.
BODY & IDENTITY
For DGS, jewelry connects the body to its surroundings. Each piece becomes more than an ornament: an artistic expression shaped by the world in which it exists.
HANDS BEHIND THE PIECES
From Idea to Form.
Each DGS piece is designed and crafted by Diego G in Mexico City. Working directly with precious metals and traditional techniques, he explores the relationship between material, form and the body.
Some processes, such as casting, are carried out in specialized workshops to ensure quality. The result is jewelry shaped by Diego’s own vision and a hands-on approach to the material.
